Explorers

People living at the centre of the earth decided that they must
explore the world beyond the centre.
A group of brave men and women left in three special purpose
vehicles. The journey was harsh and demanding but they were excited; no one had
dared to do what they were attempting.
Everyone was elated as they reached the outer space.
But further exploration left them shell shocked.
“I hadn’t imagined that it would be that bad out here.”
“No specie becomes intelligent overnight; in time they too
will develop.”
“But we can’t plan another trip in near future.”
“I agree.”

nice one Aroraji... :)
ReplyDeletethanks Archana
DeleteThe state of things must be bad if the people we couldn't find find us and deem us not intelligent enough yet. :) Interesting take on the picture.
ReplyDeleteMy #FF Fiction
we know we are messing with nature but won't admit
DeleteSome of us aren't exactly the sharpest crayons in the box. They must have came up in my neighborhood. Perhaps I've scared them away for two or three generations.
ReplyDeletethanks Russel for stopping by; but i thought they had emerged in my neighbourhood
DeleteDear Arora,
ReplyDeleteI guess they figured out what drove them to the center of the earth in first place.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle, what worries me is our refusal to 'understand'
DeleteAn exploration in outer space
ReplyDeletethanks Kalpana
DeleteThe people from the center of the earth - how interesting and clever - we tend to think we are the intelligent ones - maybe not...
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by, we have a very high opinion of ourselves
DeleteAnd back in they go with their cars. And right they are, we haven't evolved far enough yet to really get an understanding of the world around us. Great take on the prompt.
ReplyDeletethanks Ga H
DeleteA terrible state of our earth.. I think that there is no reason to stay if you come from a better place. After all, sunshine is overrated.
ReplyDeletei wonder what legacy we would leave behind, thanks Bjorn
