The Laptop

He laughed as loudly as he could.
He could not believe that everything had happened faultlessly.
He had spent hundreds of hours brooding over it; reading every kind of material he could find on internet; worrying that somehow he was bound to make a silly mistake and get caught.
But in the end it was nothing but a child’s play.
He looked at the burning dead body and laughed.
His phone rang.
‘Hello, has it been done?’
‘What do you mean?’
‘You didn’t switch off the laptop. I could see and record everything.’
His hands trembled, his nightmare had come true.

  2. I think the caller is bluffing. Otherwise he wouldn't need to ask whether it had been done. Either way, things are not going smoothly.
